The North Carolina Bar Foundation launches its first campaign of the Bar year bolstering support from Foundation and Association leadership. “There is no profession better positioned to have a greater impact than the legal profession,” writes Jacqueline D. Grant, North Carolina Bar Foundation and Association president, and Robin M. Barefoot, Development Committee chair, in a letter to members of the Foundation and Association leadership.  The campaign will leverage the talent and generosity of members who have demonstrated commitment to serving the profession and the communities of North Carolina. Even before the start of the campaign, Foundation and Association leadership have raised nearly $23,000  – a great start to meeting the $297,000 Annual Fund goal. Check on the campaign progress here.

Reach and Impact:  The Importance of Your Gift

The impact of the North Carolina Bar Foundation is made possible by the generosity of private supporters like you. Our impact is most visible through our pro bono and public service programs including NC Free Legal Answers, NC LEAP (NC Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program), Wills for Heroes, 4ALL Statewide Service Day and Lawyers for Literacy. The reach of the Foundation is expanded through the Endowment which provides grants to organizations whose projects advance our values of access to justice, service, education and professionalism. In addition, the Foundation’s LANC Fund provides secure and sustainable annual funding to Legal Aid of North Carolina.

I invite you to join me and make a meaningful commitment to the North Carolina Bar Foundation. As leaders of the Foundation and Association, let’s raise the bar for our Foundation and demonstrate how we can unite the talent and generosity of our profession to be a force of greater good for the people of North Carolina. The force behind this movement begins with us – the leadership of this distinguished organization. Your gift today will have a powerful impact on the people and communities of North Carolina tomorrow.”
President Jacqueline D. Grant, 2018-19 North Carolina Bar Foundation and Association
