Invest in the NCBF Mission Through a Planned Gift

Through the Endowment, the North Carolina Bar Foundation furthers the organization’s values of improving access to justice, supporting service through the profession, advancing civic education and promoting professionalism.

Since the founding of the NCBF Endowment in 1985, it has grown to a value of $17M thanks to the generous support of individuals and organizations establishing Named Endowments as well as making planned gifts. Many of the NCBF’s most meaningful contributions have been received through thoughtfully structured planned gifts, which allow donors to align their personal financial goals with their desire to have a significant and long-lasting impact by funding pro bono, public service and professionalism programs that serve North Carolinians statewide.

Planned gifts provide a unique opportunity to enjoy tax savings while supporting an organization that is important to you and the legal profession. We invite you to work with the NCBF development team to document your planned gift to ensure that your philanthropic goals are met and the impact of your gift is maximized. Individuals who document a planned gift with the NCBF are welcomed into the Platt D. Walker Planned Giving Society and recognized annually as part of NCBA Annual Meeting programming.

As a member of the NCBF Platt D. Walker Planned Giving Society, you help ensure that the NCBF remains true to our mission of uniting the talent and generosity of our profession to be a power of greater good for the people of North Carolina. Please contact Louise Harris, Foundation Director, at [email protected] or 919.210.2813 to learn more about documenting your planned gift with the NCBF.
