NC Lawyers on Call (4ALL)

NC Lawyers on Call (4ALL) is an annual volunteer program in which lawyers provide free legal answers, information and resources to callers wanting to speak to a lawyer about North Carolina-related legal matters. In 2026, with the help of 245 attorney volunteers and 119 paralegal and law student volunteers, lawyers answered 7,005 calls and assisted people across the state with questions related to bankruptcy, business and tax matters, criminal law, elder law, estate planning, family law, housing, immigration and many other legal needs. This day-long event is an incredible opportunity to further provide access to justice for North Carolinians.

NC Lawyers on Call Pro Bono Parties

Consider hosting an NC Lawyers on Call pro bono party in your office this year! What does it take to host an NC Lawyers on Call Pro Bono Party? Just a conference room with Wi-Fi and power outlets, maybe some refreshments, and an invitation to your organization’s lawyers and paralegals to share a few hours together answering the 4ALL–Lawyers on Call hotline. To support your NC Lawyers on Call pro bono party, NCBF will send you some signage and swag to decorate your space. Take photos and send them to [email protected] so the North Carolina Bar Association + North Carolina Bar Foundation can promote your organization’s participation on social media. Volunteers are asked to serve in 3-hour shifts at 10am, 1pm, and 4pm, but your office should feel free to organize an NC Lawyers on Call Pro Bono Party for any time of the day that works best for your organization. Last year, some firms planned lunchtime pro bono parties, afternoon ice cream socials, and evening pizza parties. We invite you to celebrate an NC Lawyers on Call pro bono party in whatever way you choose!
