In the aftermath of a disaster, survivors rely on legal advocates to secure essential resources and rebuild their lives. This CLE is designed to provide guidance surrounding the legal issues that follow a disaster, equipping you with the tools to support disaster survivors through the complexities of recovery.
Learn from experienced professionals how to best navigate these issues with survivors during the recovery process. Explore the role of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and gain an understanding of the other claims and benefits available. Examine potential property and estate issues, consumer issues, and how a multitude of other legal aspects come into play in disaster recovery cases.
