Because we’re pro pro bono.

During Pro Bono Week, the North Carolina Bar Foundation asked 160 new attorneys why they were willing to give their time and talents freely to help the underserved. Here are their answers. Why will you join the Foundation in lending a hand to those in need of legal service?

I do pro bono because I want to use my skills to help the people who need it most
Because justice shouldn’t be denied based on ability to pay
To remember the purpose behind the practice
Because being a voice for the voiceless is one of this profession’s greatest rewards.
To give a little more back to those less fortunate than I
Because if we don’t, who will?
