Gifts by Beneficiary Designation
Adding and changing beneficiaries are a fast and simple way to incorporate NCBF into your estate plan.
You can put your accounts to use helping drive the NCBF mission with no cost to you now by designating NCBF as a beneficiary of your assets. By naming NCBF as a beneficiary, you influence your personal legacy furthering access to justice for generations to come. Types of beneficiary designations include:
- Life Insurance – A request for a beneficiary designation form from your plan administrator allows you to name NCBF as a beneficiary of all or a portion of your life insurance policy. Alternatively, you may designate NCBF as owner and beneficiary of an existing policy.
- Accounts – Add NCBF as a beneficiary on your retirement, checking, savings, brokerage or CD accounts. Transfer-on-Death (TOD) or Payable-on-Death (POD) account avoid probate.
- DAF Residuals – Name NCBF to receive any amount that remains after your lifetime or name NCBF as a successor of your DAF account.
